Draft Day 2031

Xavier would like to go in the first or second round to the Bears, but his mom and grandparents would rather see him play closer to home for the Colts.
I was so glad I could put him in his Bears outfit (0-3 mos.) for the Draft yesterday since he defintely won't be fitting in it for the fall!

This pic of CW is priceless! Just look at that toothy smile!

No teeth here yet, thankfully! Xavier is finally starting to like/enjoy his bouncer and swing! Hallelujah!
He sometimes doesn't mind his car-seat either! Just depends on the length of the trip I think.

Yoga Xavier
Today he actually fell asleep in the swing for about a half an hour!

It's a......

GIRL!!!!
For Ashley, Brady and Caden, little Chloe will be here in approximately 147 days.
Let the clothes shopping begin. Oh wait, my mom has already hit the sales at the mall!
I can't lie I bought her the cutest little romper outfit at Target on Thursday afternoon. X and I had a successful trip that day. He was strapped to my chest in one of those front carriers, but for a blissful hour I walked around Target and shopped! I decided since I voted and said it was a girl that I had to buy something to prove how confident I was.
It is 80's and sunny here today! Windy, but it is going to be a nice day.
Xavier is currently asleep in his swing, not for long I am sure as it is approaching brunch time.
Thanks Grandie for babysitting last night!
My friend April is under the weather with a kidney infection but she is doing better. Hopefully she gets to enjoy some of the great weather today!

April showers......

Bring May Flowers! Hopefully!
It has been rainy and cooler here in Indiana the last few weeks with a couple really good days here and there! We are looking forward to the 70's tomorrow and possibly the 80's this weekend!
Xavier is turning into a big boy already! He is 10 weeks today and we actually had his 2 month check up today, just 2 weeks late! He is weighing in at 13 pounds and 9 ounces and he is 25.5 inches long!! He is starting to get a double chin and he has cute little rolls on his thighs! He had some shots today but took them in stride. He screamed for just a couple minutes and then zonked out! (might have been the infant Tylenol?) Overall Dr Jim said he is doing fantastic! X has been giving me, uh I mean us, a couple good 4-5 hour stretches every night. This weekend we wore him out by taking him to see his future Baseball team play at Victory Field (Carmel) He loved looking at the lights and he was checking out the 20+ cute high school girls in front of us-most of them all checking their blackberry's every 20 seconds. That night he slept from 10:30 to 6am I believe, actually I could hardly believe it, but he did!
Not too much going on around here. I go back to work part-time in 2 weeks. Sort of looking forward to it and sort of not...we'll see how it goes! We are going to do a 90 day trial period to see how both sides like it!
I got a new Mom camera, and I love it! The quality is awesome. I am still getting the hang of using it and figuring it out and it only took me 2 weeks to upload the 80 pictures I have taken, which was sooo easy!
Friday is the BIG day to find out if we will have another boy/nephew/grandson to add to our family or if by any chance we will get a GIRL! My vote is out for a girl, but we will see at around11:30 on Friday! Whenever we tell/ask Caden to kiss baby Xavier he nicely goes over and kisses his belly. He likes to pat his head and loves to rock his Car-seat carrier when he is sitting in it ready to go somewhere! He kisses mommy's belly where his other baby is which is why he kisses X on his belly! It is really cute!
Next weekend our good friends Trey and Jen aka Tren, get married here in Indy. That will be our first "major" event away from Xavier. Okay since it is in Indy is not like we are leaving him for the whole weekend but still we will be gone for lots of hours at a time! Grandie and Aunt Sarah are coming Friday and Gigi and Opa are coming Saturday to watch the X-man! Not looking forward to trying to pump during both events.......However I am looking forward to the big day for Tren, Jen is going to be a beautiful bride and I can't wait to use my new Mom camera to snap some memorial pics of the happy couple!
Then the following weekend is my first Mother's Day. We will be taking CW to Lafayette with us because his parents are going to Arizona for their 1 year Anniversary!
I can't believe how fast a year has gone by already! We got pregnant last May which is hard to believe that was then and now we have a 10 week old!!
Okay, stay tuned to Friday when we get the boy/girl results!

Baby's first Easter. Don't look at the sleepy looking Mom!

Daddy likes to play hair-stylist, this is Banker Xavier

Hey, Hey

Xavier says....
The Cubbies are going to win today!

Xavier, an avid Cubs fan (sorry Dad, he thinks the White Sox are good too) is ready for opening day today. I thought he had a cubs outfit to wear today and I was all set to put him in it and bring him to daddy's office. I even went out and bought red pants to match his Cub's one-sie....only to realize the one-sie is a BEARS one-sie and the C on the shirt is orange, not red. It is size 0-3 months so not a chance it fits him when the Bears take the field in the fall. He is a Payton Manning fan though anyway so he will be wearing blue and white most weekends.
X is 8 weeks old on Wednesday! I can't believe it. We were supposed to go to the Doctor next week for his 2 month appointment but since I had thought we were going to Florida I scheduled it for the following week. I can report though that he weighed in at 11 pounds and 15 1/2 ounces last Friday at the breast feeding support group. He went over 12 pounds after feeding him and might have even stayed at 12 if he had not up-chucked most of his meal on my left shoulder. His reflux or whatever it may be, is nothing major. He spits up about once a day and I can almost catch it now because I hear the gurgle in his belly/esophagus and know it is coming with some nice pats on the back! His stuffiness and nasty/scary cough has also passed for the most part.
Xavier's friend Jack and his mom April brought us some Jimmy John's for lunch today. Thanks April! It is always nice to see at least one visitor a day or go somewhere and do something, even if X does not like his carseat and car ride. With the cold and snow that was going on here today, we decided to stay in.
I am going to place 2nd in our NCAA pool. If my husband's picks were as good as mine were we could have won the couple's pool. Looks like the soon to be Newlyweds Trey and Jen (aka Tren) are going to win this year.
Everyone have a Happy Easter this weekend!
Go Tar-Heels!!

Smile :)

Xavier is now smiling! This picture does not quite capture his cute little smile but I cannot snap the camera fast enough to get a good one!

Here he is sitting up on the couch supported by pillows (and help from Dad)

Last week we went to see Xavier's second cousin Graham. Both of them are peacefully asleep on their grandmas (Grandie and Aunt Shady)

Like my friend Kiley said, "times sure have changed!" The three of us used to hang out and party in College. Kiley ditched us to go live in the South so we don't see her all that much anymore. Here we are though 8 years out of college with our children!
Darcy and X, April and Jack and Kiley and Grace
So Xavier started smiling last week! I got my first smile while playing with him on the Baby Einstein mat on the floor. He loves the musical star that lights up in different colors! He actually likes any light, he is pretty good and peaceful every time I change him because it is right by the window and he just stares and looks around.
We took him to the doctor this week because I thought he was getting sick. Turns out he just has a little reflux, which makes him nasal-y and sound congested. So we are trying to burp him more. Jake just wants him to learn how to spit a hawker, but I think we have awhile before that happens! X, aka Tank, weighed in at 11 pounds 12 ounces! So he has gained 3 pounds since birth already!
Ashley and I both got our husbands yesterday with an April Fool's joke. I am quite certain it is the first and probably only time I will get Jake. We both told them that Ashley's Doctor had heard 2 heartbeats at her appointment and that she was having Twins! I was enjoying my joke so much with Jake that I thought about not telling him I was joking, but I figured that might cause some trouble! He was definitely impressed that I pulled it off though!
BC's heartbeat was 148 which by wives tales says another Boy....but I am holding out for a girl. Xavier's heartbeat was always high so he should have been a girl! We will find out the sex on April 24th, so only 3 more weeks of waiting!
