End of May!

I can't believe Memorial Day has come and gone and it is almost June!
Here is my little man, looking all grown up at 3.5 months! He sits up pretty well with some assistance, so I am sure it will not be too much longer before he can do it on his own.
Opa making X laugh this past weekend on the porch. I love sitting on my parents screened in porch in the evenings sipping a nice glass of wine!
Xavier still loves his bath time but he loves laying on the diaper changer even more! He just lays there and kicks and kicks.......

Xavier and his cousin Graham.
They are 8 days apart and very similar in size and length. We went to visit cousin Bill/Stacey and Kate last week in Noblesville. Kate was home on leave for awhile.
Thanks Kate for serving our Country!

Not too much has been going on the last couple of weeks.
Xavier will roll over from tummy to back when he is propped up on his arms. He still does not actively suck or take a pacifier but will hold it in there when he gets sleepy! He enjoys the car these days and even falls asleep! We take more trips out in between his feedings and naps. He has been a dream at night, sleeping from around 9:30pm to 5:30am! I am still working 2 days a week so he gets to hang out with Gigi and play with Caden on Tuesdays. Little CW has been getting his Eye Teeth in so he has been a little clingy to my sister and in lots of pain! Ashley has finally popped and you can tell she is preggers! I am going to take a 24 week picture this weekend so I will post that of her cute little belly when I can!

3 months!

I can't believe Xavier is 3 months old already! He has changed so much the last couple weeks! I celebrated my first Mother's Day and it was wonderful! We spent time with my mom and grandmother and Jake's mom. Happy First Mother's Day to all my new mother friends and Happy Mothers Day to all the other awesome moms I know! (Okay belated Happy Belated Mothers Day-I am 4 days late!)

Gigi, Opa and the boys

Grandi and Xavier

X and CW on their new adirondack chairs. Jake got X to laugh but CW is just biding his time because he wanted to sit in the chair X was in! He actually did sit on his lap at one point!

So I am officially back to work 2 days a week. It was nice to be back in the work flow and I only cried a little bit on Tuesday right after I left X with my mom and then at work when Darius Rucker's "It won't be like this for long" song came on. I am very blessed that my mom is watching him for May and then Grandi and my Mom are sharing duties the rest of the summer. We will see how everything is going after my 90 day trial period is up!
I took Xavier to his 3 month appointment today and Dr Jim said Xavier looked like he could be a 6 month old! My little piggy weighed in at 14 pounds 12 ounces and 26 inches long. So he has grown 1/2 inch and I think gained 19 ounces in just over 3 weeks!!! He doesn't miss a meal let's put it that way! He is smiling, laughing, cooing and very energetic everyday! He loves getting his diaper changed and he just kicks and kicks his chubby little legs! When I put him on the blanket for tummy time he starts to roll to the side. He is sitting in his bumbo chair much better, not completely upright, but close!
Speaking of meals.....I hear my lovebug making his hungry squawk, more later!

Weekend Fun!

It is really amazing most people tell me how much Xavier looks like me and nothing like his dad.
Yeah right! Look at that cute little mini-me of Jake!
He's our thoroughbred and he definitely did not pick Mine that Bird to win the Derby yesterday!

I love my new Mom camera!! It takes such great pictures.
I try to snap a couple pics at least every other day!
Here is the beautiful bride to be Jen

The new Mr and Mrs Trey McFarland!
So cute! The wedding was awesome, short and sweet ceremony followed by a very fun reception at the Mavris downtown. The Mavris is an old restored warehouse by the train tracks. It was so cool!
Congratulations Trey and Jen, hope you have fun in Cabo!

So I have not totally avoided public places but I admit I did go out and buy up all kinds of hand sanitizer and clorox wipes. A school in our area/neighborhood is closed this week due to a possible case of H1N1. The other case in the city is near my sister's house. What are the odds we each have a nearby school with cases! Only us!
I have also made a new Knott house rule of removing shoes at the door and washing hands! I started to think about what all our dirty shoes do in a day, each and every day, and then thought about when Xavier starts to crawl and just the thought of duck poo, gum, gasoline, spit and who knows what else on the bottom of our shoes transfering to the carpet or floors in my house did not sit well with me! And the hand washing, well that should be pretty self explanatory with an almost 3 month old!
Almost 3 months! Where has the time gone?
Xavier pretty much has full head control. His dad practices sitting up every day! He loves his baby Einstein play mat and just stares at the blinking star and has started to grab all the things dangling from above. Today he slept in his swing for 2 hours! He is starting to sleep in his crib more and more and has made it in there a couple nights! He has also been sleeping anywhere from 10-11pm to 4:30-6am for almost the last 2 weeks!
Thanks to both grandparents and aunts for watching Xavier this weekend while Jake and I went to Tren's wedding, we had a great time!
