Little Choe-1 month old
This was at the end of my "photo-shoot" and she was tired. Grandi got little Chloe this super cute one-sie!
Go Boilers!
Gigi, Xavier and I went to a pumpkin "patch" in Lafayette before we left for Florida. I say "patch" because it was a big set-up in a church parking lot. We figured next year he would enjoy a real patch! (he was reallllly interested in the piece of hay he pulled out of a bale)
Posing with the pumpkins. I also just figured out how to do the black and white feature on my camera!
Picking out his pumpkin! Or rather riding with his pumpkin!
Gigi and Xavier
Xavier holding little Chloe's pumpkin but next to his pumpkin!
Xavier loves to watch the Boilers on Saturdays. Or should we say the "Spoilers" :)
Xavier loves to get on the riding toys. He doesn't go anywhere just yet but he likes to be pushed along. We were all at Gigi and Opa's house this weekend. Caden didn't really want to share the riding toys or many toys for that matter with X. I think now that X is on the move Caden has become a little possessive of the toys.
We had to take this picture. Caden was just chilling out with a box of Wheat Thins watching Fox and Friends on Saturday morning. At least he knows to watch the right news channel!!I cannot believe how smart Caden is already. He knows his colors, I think most numbers and the alphabet already (he turns 2 in January). He mixes a couple letters up now and then, but he is one smart cookie. Today Jake was wearing a gold/copper/burnt orange shirt and Caden said, yellow? Orange? We told him copper and he was like okay, copper.
We took Qdoba breakfast burritos down to Ashley's this morning to have a little birthday celebration! It is sometimes sad yet so amazing that we have all grown up. I can remember her being a cutesy, little blond show off growing up. Now she is a cute, blond, mother of 2! (pics of Chloe to come shortly)
Life goes by so fast and changes in a heartbeat! Xavier is 8 months old already and it is just so amazing to watch him grow and change. Words just can't even explain the pure joy and love I feel when I wake up and see him every morning.
The medicated lotion I have been using this week for his exzema has already helped his skin so much, so hoping that gets better and/or goes away!
Little guy is taking a nap and resting up to go watch Daddy's flag football game at 3 (maybe....) and the Bear's tonight for Sunday night football!

First Haircut
He did pretty well sitting in the chair while his hairs were being cut! He just wanted to keep looking around at Megan and her scissors!
Xavier now notices my camera. I think he likes the lenscap, it hangs from my camera with a little cap-keeper thing and anything that moves, he wants to check it out. So this was an up close shot of him coming to get me! (He loves to bite my nose, he just goes to bite it and then laughs!)
A long-er hair photo earlier in the day!
Xavier has found the door-stoppers! And he loves to flip them so the make that lovely noise! He managed to get the one off in his room yesterday! He also loves his little Giraffe, Sophie. Really loves to chew it!Xavier crawls all over the place. This door stopper is the one on the landing which he also loves to crawl up the one step to get to. We are trying to get him to then go down the step backwards, but he is determined to go down face first. He goes pretty slow and takes his time and so far no face plants......but still gotta get the backwards thing worked out!
So we found out 2 things this week about our little guy. First he has some classic eczema on his face, back and in his little roll areas. The Dr prescribed him some cream with a very mild steroid in it. It doesn't really bother him too much, except today all of a sudden he is scratching like heck at the back of his head. Poor guy is scratching it and making little red marks, so I gotta figure out how to solve that problem before he makes his head raw!
This morning I confirmed my suspicion that he is allergic to eggs. He broke out in some hives 3 times in the last week and when I went back and thought about all the things he had eaten and played with, eggs were the main culprit. So this morning I fed him a little bit of egg and voila! He broke out. Exzema and a food allergen go almost hand in hand so after doing some research this week I knew I had found the problem. Hopefully he grows out of it.....but now we have to go get some allergy tests done next week. Not looking forward to my baby being pricked over and over and if he is in fact allergic then no Flu shot or H1N1 shot as they are egg-based. That scares me a little about him not getting vaccinated, but I am not going to worry about it until he gets the tests done and it is confirmed and not just going off my at home "testing."
The cold weather stinks. Hoping the weather man is actually right for a change and it warms up next week to the 60's!
Have a good weekend! Let's hope the Boilers can pull out a victory tomorrow.

Fun in Florida!
Last week Xavier went on his first vacation to Florida with Grandi, Pops, Aunt Ya-Ya and Aunt Be-Be and mom and dad! He was EXCELLENT on the plane ride down and back, apparently I didn't give him enough credit that he would take it all in stride. Although nursing him on take-off helped put him to sleep both times for awhile, but there were no screaming or hysterical fits! Whew!
Xavier's first plane ride, getting ready to land!

X didn't mind just hanging out in the sand. He didn't even mind feeling the waves crash against his feet. He didn't like sitting down in the sand and a wave hitting him! But that was at the end of his time in the water and I think the salt water was really irritating his little fat roll/crease areas!
X wearing Aunt Ya-Ya's sunglasses. I am going to have to find the pic of my sister laying in her bathing suit wearing my mom's sunglasses from the 80's because they look a lot alike here. Drew liked to play dress up with Ashley too!
Apparently X likes apples!I tried to eat all the skin off around the apple but he loved chewing and gnawing the inside of the apple!
X loved swimming! He liked just hanging out with Dad and not the float better....imagine that, he didn't like to be confined!
Xavier and his daddy at sunset on the beach!
Three generations of Knott men. Look how there hair all blows the same way!
Grandi, X and Pops on the beach for a photoOverall we had a great time in Naples. We stayed at my grandparents place, ate at some good restaurants, saw a couple sunsets! Life doesn't get much better! It was a record breaking month in Florida for October, 90's all week with high humidity. Xavier went out a little during the day but he didn't get out too much due to the heat. I took him to a couple of my favorite shopping places. I hit up most of the places I usually go, but this was my first trip with child so it was a little different than the vacations I was used to, but that's how it is going to be from here on out! Xavier got to see lots of herons, an alligator, some cranky old men driving the trams to the beach, all kinds of things he has never seen before! X slept in a play-yard all week, which wasn't the best idea I had but it was just going to be too much work to get a crib. He slept with Jake and I in a king bed probably every other night for awhile! Twice while we were there he decided at midnight it was time to play and not sleep! So those were fun nights! He doesn't really have a great sleep schedule at home so I didn't really expect him to all of a sudden on vacation decide he loved to sleep! That is my goal this month though..........sleep schedule and getting him to hopefully (fingers crossed) sleep better at night! He is 8 months old as of yesterday, which I cannot believe, but time flies. Everyone says to enjoy it, it goes fast, and they weren't kidding! He is to the stage where he doesn't like to be held for too long, he wants to get down and do something! He pulls himself up on anything that will hold him up! I saw him let go of things twice in Florida and stand for about 3-5 seconds before falling on his bum. So I am sure walking is on its way in the next couple of months. No more teeth yet. He sure acts like they are coming sometimes, especially the way he chews on everything but so far no more since late July!
Back to reality now and the cold-er weather! Yuck!
Hope everyone is staying healthy and happy!

Weekend Fun!
Look at me! All I want to do is stand up. I can't quite figure out how to get back to the floor once I am up, but I love to walk around the entertainment center and reach and grab for everything that used to be there! (Mom moved it!)
He officially crawled on Friday, or I say officially. He crawled out of his room to the other room where I was, later he crawled from the living room to the kitchen and all weekend he crawled and crawled.
I think there is only 1 bum there, but it looks like a couple!
We love Kenny!
Nothing says a good time like watching a concert in a suite!
At least he is smiling in this one....every other picture of the 2 of us, he had to make some silly face!
Kathy getting crazy!Xavier had his 2nd overnight this weekend and went and stayed with Grandi and Pops. They said they enjoyed every minute of it!
Other than we still just can't get the hang of consistent naps, bed-time and sleeping through the night, Xavier is doing well. He doesn't miss many meals! Like his daddy says, he really enjoys Triple X late night, hmm......I know someone else known for scarfing down B&G and some fries late night.
We go to Florida in a couple weeks so we are really looking forward to relaxing and seeing what X does in the sand and the pool. It has been awhile since we have been to a pool, but he still loves his baths! He still only has his bottom 2 teeth, he drools like crazy again so hopefully he is getting more and that explains his late night awakenings....
I don't know what I am going to do when the crappy Indiana cold arrives as Xavier loves to be outside. We take a nightly walk before bed so I am either going to be bundling him up or not going out, have to see just how cold it gets!
Boilers play the Irish this weekend and its 8pm game=long day of tailgating!
Uncle Prez is coming to town so we are excited to see him and he will get to meet miss Chloe. Little Chlo has her days and nights mixed up some still. And she likes to eat about every 1.5-2 hours, been there! Poor Ash is making it through but it is rough! We are taking her on an outing to Target tomorrow! More later.
Boiler Up! Toot, Toot!
