Saturday was a packed day for the Knott's. I started my morning off with a baby shower for my very dear friend Anne. Anna-bella and her husband are expecting their first baby, due February 19. She has been told the baby is already 7.9 this was a couple weeks ago so she is "hoping" she will go a little early and maybe spare herself a 10 pounder! I believe she is already 2cm dilated and thinning out, so I bet, she won't make it to the 19th, but that is just me!
The shower was hosted by Abby and Ali and was a great time. It was quaint with good friends and good food. And mimosa's!
For the first game, Ali handed us all a baby bottle. Filled with 8 ounces of beer. The task was to drink the beer for 4 minutes and whoever drank the most, Wins! It was not an easy thing, drinking out of a bottle! My mouth got tired along with my fingers from squeezing the bottle! I tied for 2nd place with Natalie (also a mother) and the winner was a new mother too! I think she maybe drank about 3 ounces and Natalie and I got about 2-2.5 ounces or so. It was a riot though to see us all trying to chug some beer from baby bottles!
As part of my gift I made Anne a diaper cake! It was the first time I have ever made one and if I do say so myself, it turned out quite nice!
