So I finally got a bunch of pictures loaded on my parents computer and I cannot get them onto my blog for some reason, keeps telling me "javascript void." I have checked the help tag and even googled javascript void, made the changes and I still cannot upload photos! So, I will just post some notes today!
We are living with my parents for the month of July which has been GREAT! Unfortunately though we have created a pretty bad bed habit, but I figure I might as well wait now to rectify the situation once we are moved and settled in our new house! I cannot seem to get Xavier into his crib without either waking him up (I know already bad habit #1) or he screams bloody murder! We were doing so well awhile ago with crying it out (lasted like less than 5 minutes) or he would just go to sleep and then the 1 year Molars started to arrive....... Now we are working on some Eye teeth and he had Bronchitis last week, so I feel sort of stuck on the sleep issue. He has been sleeping almost 12 hours though this week (again, been awhile since that has happened), he is just not doing it in his crib at the moment.
We get to see my parents and Grammy and Pops everyday which is really nice and helpful! But Jake doesn't get to see us everyday which is hard for all of us, but it should only be about 3 more weeks! Xavier and I appreciate Daddy and all the hard work he puts in everyday!
Let's see......Xavier went from not saying Mama at all to saying MOMMY, on repeat over and over again! I love hearing him say it though and he can say it whenever he wants! He also says Daddy, Gigi, Opa (which just sounds like Pa), Pops (sorry Grammy that one is going to take awhile), sauce (applesauce), cheese, chip, pretty (Gigi has lots of pretties at her house and he has caught on), sock, shoe, outside (or something to that effect) he loves to wave bye bye to anything (even his bathwater), he doesn't like it when ANYONE goes outside and leaves him behind and the best new(er) thing he does is give kisses and pats. He will give you an open mouth kiss and then some patting on the shoulder, so cute! He is definitely an ornery little guy and keeps me on my toes! He can climb just about anything! The other day he was climbing in his car-seat from my moms car, which was inside for a bit, and climbing up and over the side of the couch! We constantly catch him at the very computer I am typing on, as he loves to just press the buttons and see things on the screen! He has a deep affection right now for phones: telephones (yes some people still have home lines! :), Cell phones, fake phones, whatever. He holds it up to his ear and it kind of sounds like he says "what's up" but I am not sure.
Pops got a bike seat on the back of a bike and he loves going for bike rides now! He even occasionally takes a nap :) If he is tired, anything that has to do with motion puts him to sleep-car rides, strolls through the neighborhood and bike rides! One day when Jake came here we took him for a ride in his Tiny Tikes push-car and he fell asleep sitting up, it was so funny!
He is growing like a weed and his hair is getting pretty blond. He has some tan legs and arms from all our walking and being outside. I take him to the LCC to swim a couple times a week and he loves the water! The first day he seriously just jumped in to me, he is fearless! So I thought even though he is probably too young for actual swimming lessons that I would still try to see how some lessons might go. So we are doing a 2 week swim lesson with my old high school's Swim Coach in a couple weeks. I am really interested to see how long Xavier's attention span lasts and whether he will get in the water with a stranger.
Xavier definitely favors the female sex right now. He obviously likes me, but he also drops me like a hat to go to Gigi and Grammy. Pops and Opa on the other hand, not so much. He of course likes his daddy, unless he is really tired :)
My mom, sister and I are going to see my brother Josh in Detroit this weekend, a little girls getaway! We are looking forward to spending some time with him. (Don't worry Drew, we are coming to SF in September sometime!)
Okay, well I usually turn into a pumpkin at 10pm if I am not in bed, so I better wrap this up! I will really try to post some new pics when I get a chance or when the website starts working for me, or if any of my other blogger friends tell me what to do!
