Hard to believe my little sweet pea is already 2 months old!
And in typical Indiana style, last week she was dressed in a sleeveless little number, this week she has been wearing a onesie with pants.......
We are doing pretty well, with an occasional bump in the road!
Yesterday X started throwing up some phlegm and bile when he woke up and he was pretty sleepy and didn't want to do anything. So, I knew something was definitely wrong. Off to Dr Jim we went! We have seen Dr Jim 3 weeks in a row now. First for X 2.5 year appointment and then Giseles 2 month appointment! Dr Jim actually thought he sounded decent and didn't find anything in his ears but with X's history this year of breathing issues and some bronchial stuff we got a Zpac to be on the safe side! And wow! He was totally back to himself by noon after 1 dose of mecicine as he calls it!
Today we had an allergist appointment (good thing we have $ in an FSA!) overall nothing earth shattering other than he decided we should do some blood work to determine the egg and peanut allergy level. So since we were doing blood work he also re-tested for wheat, soy, dairy and dog dander. Then checked for deficiency's in Vitamin D and Zinc. His poor skin has just been red, itchy, rashy for about 2 months if not longer. It wakes him up at night, which wakes me up! He has itched places on his body just raw and it is so hard to watch because I try to make it better for him it just isn't working. SO, today the allergist also suggested we take a bath tonight, put on his medicine on spots and vaseline over the rest of the body, followed by a pair of wet pajamas and socks topped with dry pajamas and socks. So today I bought him some new footed pj's from Target thinking oh, this will be okay. Yeah, not so much. He was NOT happy whatsoever with the wet pj's. We managed to keep him in them for maybe all of 10 minutes before I just couldn't take the painful crying by him. Then we went to put a star on his chart for taking a bath and he wanted the star in a different box. Then he wanted a second star and then he fell asleep on me. Poor thing is exhausted from not getting a good nights sleep and then worn out from wailing! I am hoping that I can still get some meds and vaseline on him for a couple nights with the footed jj's and that might help him not to itch his legs at least.
Gisele is pretty good. Night and day from Xavier. She eats about every 3 hours during the day and then goes down between 9 and 10 and sleeps until 3 or 4. So she usually gives me a nice 5-6 hours a night. She is changing daily, coo's and ahh's and smiles a lot. Let's just say she is going to be one tough cookie with Xavier as her brother........
Hope everyone had a good Labor Day weekend!
