My Little Valentines

Not bad....

Well let's see......Xavier just turned 3 and continues to keep me on my toes! He still loves Buzz but he got some new favorite toys for his birthday! A bubble blower, fishing pole, Buzz and ALL his friends, a Buzz blanket and a new Better Batter Baseball gizmo. He hasn't taken a real liking to any sport just yet so the fact that he wants to hit the baseball makes his daddy happy! And earlier today he was playing catch by himself, well I guess maybe with Gisele but she wasn't responding!

He goes to sleep by 8, makes a late night stop to our bed anywhere between 1-4am and then is usually up around 7 when his sister wakes! We started swimming lessons last week, which has been so-so. Today he was not particularly happy to be there since he cried the entire 45 minutes. I can't quite figure it out, he gets shy for a few minutes when I take him to school or Jake's work, even though he talks about both non-stop our whole way there, then he gets all quiet and doesn't want to talk. We go to Old MacDonalds or Chik Fil A to eat and play and he makes friends with EVERY kid in the place. We are going to do the summer enrichment program at pre-school this summer to "keep him in the school loop."

Now Miss G.....she is becoming a mover and shaker as well! She likes to wave and clap your hand, if she sees something she wants, she goes and gets it! I wouldn't say she is crawling but more like a half scoot, half crawl. Her left leg is like a dead weight and she can't quite pull it through yet but she is close. I am on the hunt for a gate for my upstairs because I know I am going to need it soon!

She HAD been sleeping great! Until she started teething again. Now she is up at least once sometimes 3 times a night......she popped her top middle left tooth about a week ago so now just waiting for its "mate." I can see swollen gums for her lateral incisors on the top so those should be around the corner as well. Her poor little face is red one day and better the next and repeat! I can't seem to keep her nails under control so yesterday she got a few scratches in on TOP of the already red area.

She wants to eat whatever you have! I think I am going to stop buying any baby food and just use what I have but she she doesn't really eat much of it! I have some home-made food in the fridge I need to get out as well to try but otherwise she is definitely trying things way earlier than I did with her brother. Except eggs. I just can't bring myself to try those yet, maybe in a couple more months.

All in all, we are doing well. Its hard to believe one year ago I was having the 20 week ultrasound and had no idea I was having my precious little girl! Its also hard to believe that my precious little boy just turned 3! Time is a flying, that is for sure!

I continue to read many CaringBridge websites and updates every day on all these children I started following last year and all I can say is I am so THANKFUL for 2 overall healthy children. Minus a 24 hour bug and some coughing and congestion by all of us, we have stayed otherwise healthy.

Well its 9 and time for bed! I try to go to sleep early since I never know when my little love bug is going to wake me up.
