She is so cheese-y and smiley!
X has to get some action too!
This girl LOVES paper! Ugg, seriously, I take more toilet paper, coloring book paper, paper off the ground (yuck) out of this girls mouth.....
Xavier wanted to help hold her numbers :)
Gisele finally figured out how to make her feet move in order to get the ride on toys to move! She especially likes to go backwards! She can't go nearly as fast as her brother but she can move!
So a short update but miss Gisele is11 months and full of sass! Daddy likes to say and think that Gisele is much "easier" than Xavier was at this age! She will go out to eat and sit peacefully while we eat, as long as she has all the food she can eat! I will say, she is a great eater. For now. Although I "intend" to keep it that way! She has started to show some of Xavier's spunk! Xavier and I call her on occasion, "Miss Diva Pants." Xavier loves calling her "names." Some of my most cherished memories (already) are every morning when Xavier says, "good morning Zeller Bellers, how are you today?" Makes me smile every time! She is typically up way before him (recently she is a 6am riser......X around 8-8:30) so she is super excited when we hear him come down the stairs. Miss Gisele definitely has opinions! Currently she loves to eat paper and any kind. White paper, cardboard, memory game pieces, if its from a tree she eats it! She also discovered the toilet awhile ago and likes to go fishing. (awesome!) I am constantly making sure the toilet seat is all the way down, now if only a certain someone could help me out with that......and I try to just keep bathroom doors shut, but seeing as how Xavier decides to pee in the big boy potty every now and then it isn't easy! Gisele started taking steps at the beginning of May and then about 3 weeks ago, she decided to just do it and walk! So at 11 months I have a full time walker. She enjoys the stairs, not as much as when she first discovered them but still she likes to follow Xavier up them and then she wants to walk down them! For some reason I just haven't purchased a baby gate yet....I think because a part of me is just waiting for her to be "okay" going up and down stairs and then the other part just dreads the multiple trips to Babies or Buy Buy to find the right gate. In the morning when we come down the stairs we always stop on about the 5th or 6th step so she can see herself in the mirror and then we play a little peek a boo. She definitely already likes to look in the mirror! She also recently started to understand peek a boo! Its so cute to see her cover her eyes and then take them off! She loves going outside and either playing with her cozy coupe car or walking around trying to eat flowers! She absolutely without a doubt L-O-V-E-S her big brother! She always looks for him when he is gone and smiles when he comes back. They are at an age where they play nice together for about 10 minutes then usually he does something to set off a scream or 2. Then she comes looking for me. She has a bit of an attachment to her Mama right now. Although Xavier sort of does as well I guess..........
Xavier did awesome his first year in "school," really just a parent's day out, but he really started to love going every Thursday and he loved his teachers Miss Kara and Miss Linda. I am pretty sure that Xavier has been in the neighborhood pool almost every day since its opening in May. Some days (especially weekends) he goes twice! He is really picking up on "swimming" quite nicely. He has been taking some lessons from one of my high school gym teachers every time we are in Lafayette. Xavier refers to him as Mr. Shark (technically Mr Sharp) He is diving to get diving sticks and coming back up on his own in 3-4 feet of water. He is practicing his kicks and arms. Now if only we could get him to listen to us on just about anything else it would be awesome! Any ideas? He is is currently in a "make a deal" phase, he says something with a couple caveats and says is that a deal? Or he says let's make a deal.....the kid has some one liners like you wouldn't believe! I wish I could say his skin was better but no dice. I am not sure if he reacts to the sun, the pool, the sun lotion OR all 3! He gets so dry and just when I have him almost back to normal with nice soft skin he gets red and "alligator" skin again! When we were in Florida he was so dry we started calling him Xavier David Alligator Knott. He wasn't a fan of that name! Then when I started getting his skin nice I would call him Xavier David Dolphin Knott and he would say No! I am Xavier David Alligator Knott!
Okay well I feel like I have written a novel but I had a lot to update! Take care and thanks for checking in!
