NYE 2010 (a little late)

Ab, Me and Al posing before dinner at Ruth's!

Me and my wonderful, best hubby in the world!

This explains the evening after Ruth's.

Me, Em, Ab, Al and April
No-one sent me the memo on wearing black for the evening!

Jake and Ab playing Just Dance or something like that. Some video game.
Ab has a new condo that is super cool! We all went over there before dinner and after to hang out and celebrate and keep it low-key! I think Jake and I have celebrated NY with Ab and Al for the last 5 years or so......always a good time of course!
It was my second NYE in 3 years being pregnant and sober. Sober was definitely not the word to describe most of the people we were with, but it was super fun watching!!!! :)

Winter Weather

X has seen the snow and sort of been in, but this was his first "outing" in snow gear, boots, hats and gloves! He was concerned with his "glubs" at first, but once the fingers all got settle in the right slots he was fine. I think he thought since he was outside that he would check out if his 4-wheeler still worked. It did, but not in the snow!!
My little boy is changing everyday! He says something new everyday, or should I say repeats something new! We were watching Jerry McGuire the other day and he repeated "Show me the money!"
We have been to the museum a couple times lately and he loves the dinos as he calls them. There is a digging area where they have to wear goggles and he puts the goggles on (which I was so surprised) and then doesn't want to take them off the rest of the time at the museum. Thankfully I could return them to the front desk when we left!
We are sick and tired of this cold and snow! Just heard on the tube that we are expecting more of that nasty stuff Thursday. Yuck. Spring where are you?????
We are getting excited for Florida in March with all of my family, will be an interesting and fun week!
Xavier turns 2 in about 3 weeks, which is CRAZY!!!!!
He has been sleeping awesome! Except every other night or couple nights he pee's out his diaper. Sometimes its at 2:30 like last night and some times its not until 7:30 when he wakes up! But I am tired of changing the sheets! So I either need to buy some size 6 for night time or try another brand, even though I complain it hasn't made me go out and do either just yet!
I hope and think his 2 year molars are arriving. He keeps grinding his teeth and doing this under bite thing with his mouth. The grinding is hard to listen to!
We had a standoff last week for an hour in regards to eating dinner or getting a popsicle. Let's just say after that hour he got the dang popsicle. I couldn't take it anymore! I was hoping the "terrible two's" were a myth, but I believe we are entering that phase!
With that being said though, Jake and I both lately have been a lot less go with the flow, if you will and irritated when he does things we don't want or like him to do! Our very very good and dear friends watch everyday as their baby girl fights for her life in the ICU. It is hard to watch the roller coaster of a ride they are on right now, but every day that we get good news, it makes the fight all the more incredible! So keeping fighting Aubrey, we know you can do it! We cherish everyday we get to spend with Xavier and each other! And only about 23 more weeks until Baby #2 arrives!! I entered the second tri-mester so I am not as tired as I used to be, which is nice! I have started to get antsy about getting things done. I don't know what those things are exactly but I know with my preggo brain that there are things to do I just don't remember them all at the right times when I can do them!
That's it for now!
Oh yeah its late, but Congrats to my dear friend Jessica and family on little Molly's arrival about 3 weeks ago!!!

How many licks

does it take these happy boys

to get to the center of a Tootsie pop???
Pretty sure Xavier found out twice that day, I think he found someone else's sucker later!

Christmas Morning

Xavier in his new Kitchen!

Chloe found her baby cradle with babies inside

Handy Manny tool set and tool-belt! Xavier knows the names of Pat, Phillipe, Turner and Rusty. Phillipe is his favorite and is funny to hear him say!

Chlo bug with her TWIN baby dolls!

Not really sure what these horse heads on a stick are actually called......

Opa demonstrating the proper riding technique

A little Christmas morning caroling by the 3 grandkids!

Poor Chlo-Bug, undoubtedly getting a nice push off the bench!

Too sweet of Caden! He loved his basketball goal from us and he rewarded me with a kiss!

Xavier with his new Melmo slippers on and riding Jeffrey at Grandi's.

Xavier just got a new tool set but was SUPER DUPER interested in Pop's Jelly Bean candy dispenser!

Opening his new Leapster "puter"

Boys playing nicely!

Grandmother and Poppy

One of the best pictures of the day! My sister and I could hardly believe our eyes when we saw not one, but BOTH our husbands helping wash and dry dishes with Uncle Bob. We still aren't sure there wasn't some sort of peer pressure being applied.
(for the record-both our husbands help wash and dry at our houses but we have never seen them help at a family function especially with a football game on TV)

Christmas Eve

Daddy, X and mommy

X and Gigi

Posing in front of Grandi's tree

Good ole Super Why!

Look at the Reindeer on my feet!

Spinning......and falling down!
Xavier loves to spin and spin and spin then fall down when he is done. Its pretty funny to watch.

Christmas Morning at our House

Coming down the stairs

Peeking for Santa!

So happy to get a lawn mower!
(I mean who doesn't get a lawn mower in the middle of winter?)

Gift of the day/year! A big Why! (Wyatt from Super Why. He has all 4 in the little size and Red in the big size, now he has Why!)

Checking out his stocking

Santa kept it low key at our house this year because we knew he would go crazy at the Grandmas houses!
